The 10 Rubļi banknote from Latvia, issued in 1992 (Pick P‑38), is part of the transitional currency series introduced after the restoration of Latvian independence. Issued by the Bank of Latvia, the note is printed on plain paper with minimal security features.
The design is minimalist, with no portraits. The front features the denomination, the inscription “Latvijas Bankas pagaidu naudas zīme 1992” ("Provisional money note of the Bank of Latvia 1992"), and the signature of then-central bank governor Einars Repše. These banknotes were informally nicknamed "Repšiki" by the public.
The reverse shows a stylized coat of arms and decorative patterns. These notes circulated in 1992–1993, until they were replaced by the Latvian lats.
A simple yet symbolic banknote from Latvia’s early independence era — a must-have for collectors of Baltic transition currencies.
