The banknote of 2 Rubļi of Latvia 1992 (Pick P‑36) is part of the transitional currency series introduced after Latvia regained independence. These banknotes circulated between 1992 and 1993 before the introduction of the Lats. Commonly called "Repšiki" after the signature of Einars Repše, Governor of the Bank of Latvia, featured on the notes.
Front side: inscription “Divi rubļi”, stylized national ornament, issue year “1992”, and Repše’s signature.
Back side: inscription “Latvijas Banka” and ornamentation without coats of arms or portraits.
A fascinating historical artifact from the transitional period of Latvia’s currency system.
