The 2026 USA 1 Dollar American Innovation coin dedicated to Wisconsin celebrates the Cray-1, the first commercially successful supercomputer. Part of the American Innovation $1 Coin Program, this issue honours a major technological achievement that helped shape modern computing. The UNC coin is available with a Philadelphia (P) or Denver (D) mint mark.
Obverse: Features the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” The 2026 design includes a special privy mark combining a stylized gear with the Liberty Bell and the number “250,” commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
Reverse: Shows a stylized aerial view of the Cray-1 supercomputer, designed and built between 1976 and 1982. Its distinctive circular structure is emphasized in the design and also suggests the letter “C” for Cray-1 and computer. The inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “WISCONSIN,” and “CRAY-1 SUPERCOMPUTER.”
Complectation: One 2026 USA American Innovation Wisconsin $1 coin in UNC condition. The mint mark depends on the selected coin.
