This set includes two circulation coins of Monaco issued in 2025: 1 Euro and 2 Euro, both featuring a new national design.
The national side depicts Prince Albert II of Monaco, the reigning Sovereign Prince of the Principality since 2005. For the first time, a new frontal portrait of the Prince has been introduced for regular circulation coins.
The portrait emphasizes dignity, continuity and modern statehood. The inscription “MONACO” and the year 2025 are integrated into the design, while the outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union.
The common reverse side shows the standard Euro design with the map of Europe and denomination.
