Official issue by the Central Bank of Malta — a roll of 25 coins with a denomination of 2 euro, dedicated to the unique archaeological site Ħal-Saflieni Hypogeum, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Ħal-Saflieni Hypogeum, located in the town of Paola, is an underground prehistoric burial site used between 4000 and 2500 BC. It is considered one of Malta’s most important ancient monuments. The national side of the coin features a stylized fragment of the hypogeum.
The coins are in UNC (Uncirculated) condition and packaged in the original bank roll. Total mintage: 150,000 coins, or a maximum of 6,000 rolls.
