The Latvia 20 Latu 2009 banknote (catalog P-55b) belongs to one of the last series of Latvian lats issued before Latvia adopted the euro. This modern banknote design combines national cultural elements with advanced security features and is popular among collectors of Baltic currency.

Obverse: depicts a traditional Latvian countryside homestead representing the country’s rural heritage.
