Latvia Euro Set 2015 PROOF (9 Coins) is a premium numismatic collection featuring eight Latvian euro circulation denominations and a commemorative 2 Euro coin celebrating Latvia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. All nine coins are produced in Proof quality, a specialist minting finish distinguished by carefully prepared surfaces, polished fields and sharply defined details. With an official issue limited to 5,000 sets, this collection represents an important early chapter in Latvia's euro coinage history.

Latvia adopted the euro on 1 January 2014, replacing the lats and joining the euro area. The national designs reflect Latvian identity, statehood and cultural heritage. The smaller cent coins feature the small Latvian coat of arms on the 1, 2 and 5 cent denominations, while the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins display the large coat of arms. The 1 and 2 Euro coins feature the Latvian maiden, a traditional symbol of the country. The ninth coin commemorates Latvia's 2015 Presidency of the Council of the European Union and adds a historically significant theme to the regular denomination set.

Obverse: The eight standard coins feature Latvia's national designs. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins show the small coat of arms of Latvia; the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins depict the large coat of arms. The 1 and 2 Euro coins feature the Latvian maiden in traditional dress, representing Latvian cultural identity. The commemorative 2 Euro coin displays the official logo of Latvia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, accompanied by the inscription "LATVIJAS PREZIDENTŪRA ES PADOMĒ" and the website "EU2015.LV". The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European flag.

Reverse: The common European sides follow the standard euro coin designs created by Luc Luycx. The 1 and 2 Euro coins, together with the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins, feature a geographical representation of Europe. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins show Europe in relation to Africa and Asia on a globe. The Proof finish enhances the clarity of the maps, lettering, stars and denomination numerals across the set.
