The 2 Euro Lithuania 2025 “Lithuanian Minor” commemorative coin is dedicated to the historical ethnographic region Lithuania Minor (Mažoji Lietuva), an important cultural area in Lithuanian history.
Lithuania Minor historically covered parts of the southeastern Baltic region of former East Prussia and played a major role in preserving the Lithuanian language, literature, and cultural traditions. Many early Lithuanian printed works originated from this region.
Obverse: The national side of the coin features a symbolic design representing Lithuania Minor and its cultural heritage. The design includes the inscription LIETUVA, the year of issue 2025, and the twelve stars of the European Union surrounding the composition.
Reverse: The common side of the €2 coin displays the standard eurozone design showing the denomination and the map of Europe.
