2 Euro Andorra 2018 – 25th Anniversary of the Andorran Constitution commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Andorra, approved by referendum on 14 March 1993. The Constitution established Andorra as a constitutional, democratic and social state.
The national side features the Monument to the Men and Women of Andorra who launched the Constitution, located in the square of the Consell General, Andorra’s Parliament. The monument depicts the silhouettes of a man and a woman. To the right is a map of Andorra containing the Latin state motto “VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR”, meaning “United virtue is stronger”. The surrounding inscription reads “25è ANIVERSARI DE LA CONSTITUCIÓ 1993-2018”, together with ANDORRA. The outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union.
Presented in an original Coincard in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) quality, this commemorative 2 Euro coin is an important issue for collectors of Andorra and European commemorative coins. The official mintage was limited to 75,000 coins.
