2 Euro Andorra 2016 - 25th Anniversary of Radio and Television of Andorra commemorates the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Andorra's public radio and television broadcasting. The issue celebrates an important milestone in the development of public media and broadcasting in the Principality.
The national side features a microphone and a television antenna surrounded by several concentric lines symbolising the transmission of radio and television signals. The design is accompanied by the Catalan inscription 25è ANIVERSARI DE RÀDIO I TELEVISIÓ D’ANDORRA, together with the year 2016 and the country name ANDORRA. The outer ring carries the 12 stars of the European Union. The reverse displays the common 2 Euro design with the denomination and a map of Europe.
Presented in an original Coincard in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) quality, this Andorran commemorative coin is an attractive addition to collections of Andorra Euro coins, European commemoratives and issues dedicated to the country's modern history. The official mintage was 85,000 pieces.
