The 2 Euro Croatia 2025 “City of Pula – Arena” commemorative coin celebrates one of the most famous historical monuments in Croatia – the Roman amphitheatre in the city of Pula. This impressive structure, known as the Pula Arena, is among the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world and a symbol of Croatian cultural heritage.

Built in the 1st century AD during the reign of Emperor Vespasian, the arena once hosted gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. Today it is one of the most important historical landmarks on the Adriatic coast and a popular cultural venue.

Obverse: The national side of the coin depicts the Pula Arena in a detailed architectural representation. The inscriptions include the country name “HRVATSKA”, the year of issue 2025, and the name of the monument. The design is surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union.
