2 Euro Luxembourg 2026 - Accession to the Throne and 45th Birthday of Grand Duke Guillaume (BU Coincard) is the official collector's edition issued by Luxembourg to celebrate the accession of Grand Duke Guillaume to the throne and his 45th birthday. The coin is presented in the original illustrated mint coincard, providing excellent protection while enhancing its collectible appeal.
The coin is struck in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality. The obverse features the official commemorative portrait of Grand Duke Guillaume together with inscriptions marking his accession to the throne and his anniversary. The reverse bears the common European 2 Euro design used by all Eurozone member states.
Only 7,500 official coincards were produced, making this edition considerably scarcer than the circulation issue. It is an excellent addition to collections of Luxembourg Euro coins, royal commemoratives and original mint packaging.
